Legal Operations
I have worked on contract registers, document templates, approval procedures, risk registers, and the allocation of authority.
Experience
In in-house legal roles, I have standardised recurring work, tracked contracts and obligations, and managed legal documents. My experience includes digital contract management, approval workflows, authority matrices, work allocation within legal teams, training, and guidance for legal colleagues. The aim is to bring clarity not only to document preparation, but also to who holds a document, which decision it is awaiting, and who is responsible for the next step.
MY WORK IN THIS AREA
- Reviewing existing legal documentation and approval processes.
- Developing contract registers and procedures for tracking obligations and deadlines.
- Establishing the legal framework for document templates, approval sequences, and the allocation of authority.
- Explaining implementation procedures to the team, allocating work, and developing a concise legal reporting format for management.
WORKING TOGETHER
Initial process review · System development project · Ongoing implementation support We first establish how documents and decisions currently move through the business. We can then introduce registers, templates and approval procedures in stages suited to the size of the business; where software is required, legal requirements are coordinated with the technical team.
YOUR FIRST ENQUIRY
Tell me where contracts are currently stored, who approves them, and which delays or oversight problems arise most often.
The scope of work, documents to be prepared, milestones and fees are agreed before the engagement begins. A brief description is enough for the first enquiry; arrangements for sharing documents are agreed separately.
